I am a Computer and Networking Technologies student living in California who loves learning more about technology. My love for technology started at a very young age when I fell in love with computer games, which is a hobby I'm still enjoying to this day. I am currently working on finishing my Associates of Science in Computer and Networking Technologies at Cuesta College, while also getting some work experience in the field.
I currently work for a company based out of my hometown of San Luis Obispo called Experts Exchange. There I take care of a lot of Corporate IT tasks, which vary from getting computers set up for employee use and making sure they stay working, along with other maintenance tasks that come up. I am also getting a chance to dip my feet in the water in the DevOps field, which is a field that highly interests me.
I am familiar with many versions of Microsoft Windows, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, along with MacOS. I am still getting experience with various Linux distributions. I also have a very good understanding and knowledge of the Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and the Google Suite.
During my free time, I can normally be found playing video games, I normally am playing Counter-Strike, Insurgency, or a variety of RPGs.
I listen to a wide variety of music in the car, at work, and at home. The genres I listen to range from Country to EDM, but I don't listen toMetal.
I enjoy watching television series, including Silicon Valley, Game of Thrones, Gotham, and I'm currently watching Riverdale.
I've been building websites since I was a sophomore in High School, I find it relaxing and rewarding. I also enjoy using PowerShell or Python to automate tasks either at home or at work.
Worked in both the store and lumberyard, helping customers, ringing up merchandise, and stocking inventory. Spent a part of my time helping the owners/managers with computer and technical related issues, including: anti-virus, QuickBooks servers, basic networking, and email setup.
As a School Technology Assistant I spent most of my time in the school computer lab. There I made sure all computers stayed in working order and were prepared for classes that would come in. I also spent a portion of my time helping teachers and staff across the campus with various computer and technology related issues.
As a DevOps Intern I perform various IT related tasks, such as: setting up accounts and workstations for new employees, keeping track of user backups, helping with any issues employees have, and keeping systems up-to-date and in working order. I am also learning our infrastructure how our service is delivered.
